Agent Registration Service
As per the Act, the real estate agents shall not facilitate the sale or purchase of or act on behalf of any person to facilitate the sale or purchase of any plot, apartment or building in a real estate project, being the RERA registered project, being sold by the promoter in any planning area, without being registered under the RERA. This means only RERA-registered real estate agents are allowed to sell/ purchase any inventory in a RERA-registered project. Also, non-adherence with the same attracts huge penalties which may extend from Rs. 10,000/- per day up to 5 % of the total project cost
